What We Believe

Our beliefs direct how we live, so what we believe matters.

These are the core beliefs that we as a local church hold dear. These beliefs drive our mission and vision and serve as the underpinning for all that we do.

Our Mission

Helping people move closer to God and each other with Jesus Christ as the center.

Our Vision

Until every man, woman, and child has heard the gospel message and had an opportunity to respond.

We believe Jesus is the only Son of God, who came to earth as a man, died for our sins, and came back to life again to live and reign forever. We believe all who, in faith, trust Him as their Lord and Savior to forgive their sins are part of the worldwide body of Christ, the Church.

About the Bible (Old and New Testament)

We believe in the infallibility of Scripture and that the Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit and written by the hand of men. The claims found in Scripture are absolutely true and are the supreme and final authority on every subject with which they deal.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21

About God

We believe in one God, eternally existing as three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each equal in being, power, and glory. He is Creator of all things seen and unseen, including all life, and is both perfectly just and perfectly loving and merciful.

Matthew 28:19; Acts 5:3–4; Hebrews 1:8; Colossians 2:9; John 14:9

About Jesus

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His sacrificial atoning death for our sins, His bodily resurrection, and His personal, literal, imminent return.

Matthew 1:23; Luke 24:36–43; John 1:1–3, 1:29, 3:16, 14:1–3;
2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24

About the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit regenerates people and indwells all who have trusted in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. He sovereignly gives all believers gifts for service and He teaches and guides them in Christ-like living. We believe that the Holy Spirit regenerates people and, at the moment of conversion, seals, baptizes, and indwells the believer.

1 Corinthians 6:19; Ephesians 1:13; Titus 3:5;
Romans 5:5; John 14:15-17;26; 1 Peter 4:10

About Mankind and Salvation

We believe Man did not accidentally evolve, but was created specifically by God and made in His image. Because Adam and Eve chose to disobey God; the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. In the fall, the image of God was damaged, and there is now nothing within mankind that merits God’s favor. We cannot earn our Salvation through our own good works. Our God is a loving God, and He has provided a way for all to be saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, His atoning death, and His resurrection from the dead.

Genesis 1-2, 3:15; Romans 3:22-23; Ephesians 2:8-10;
Colossians 1:16-17; Titus 3:4-6

About Our Response to God’s Grace

We believe in righteous living and good works, not as the means of salvation, but as its evidence and fruit.

Romans 12:1–2; Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:8

About the Church

We believe in the universal Church which is the body and bride of Christ and is composed of all true believers, throughout all time. The universal Church finds expression in local fellowships of believers. The Church began at Pentecost and is referred to as the Bride of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the groom and head. The two ordinances of the Church are believer’s baptism and holy Communion. These ordinances are an external expression of an internal reality, and do not impart salvation, but proclaim true faith on the part of the participant. The purposes of the Church include worship, discipleship, fellowship, service, and evangelism.

Matthew 28:19. Luke 22:14-20; Acts 2:42-47; 10:47-48; Romans 12:5; Galatians 6:10; Ephesians 5:19-21; Hebrews 10:24-25; 2 Timothy 2:2

About the Eternal State

We believe that God’s personal presence, now and throughout eternity, is the reward for all those who trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. All believers who die physically will dwell in heaven with God until Jesus returns to establish the “new heavens and the new earth.” We also believe the Bible’s warning of “Hell” as the place of eternal punishment and separation from God for the unrepentant who reject the gift of salvation given by Jesus Christ. Jesus promised to return for us who believe in Him, to establish His kingdom, and that we will enjoy eternity in His presence.

Romans 6:23; Hebrews 9:27; John 14:1-3; Revelation 21:1-8
