Imagine More: Generosity

Join us as Imagine More continues at CenterPointe. Imagine More: Generosity in our lives. Imagine if we all gave sacrificially. What would that look like in our homes, communities and families. Jesus gave up riches to become poor for us? Because of what Jesus did he makes us RICH. Not necessarily rich in monetary ways. But rich in love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, and eternal life.
Discussion Questions for Growth Groups
  1. In the Bible there are 500 verses on Prayer, 500 verses on Faith and 2,000 verses on generosity and money. Over ½ of the Parables of Jesus had to do with giving, money or generosity.  Why does the Bible spend so much time talking about money?
  2. How has the LOVE of money shown up negatively in your life?
  3. What does sacrificial giving mean to you?
  4. Share a time when you gave sacrificially and how that impacted your life (keep in mind sacrificial giving doesn’t only mean financial…it can mean giving of your time, your abilities, your love).
  5. Spend some time discussing Mother Teresa’s quote,  “If you give what you do not need, then it is not really giving.”
  6. Aside from financially/sacrificially giving to Imagine More, how can you be actively engaged within your church family during this time of change and growth?
  7. As we grow and welcome MORE people to learn about the love of Jesus, how can you share the joy and hope that you have experienced at CenterPointe with others outside of our church family?
2 Corinthians 8:1-13
