The Miracle of the Method

God’s methods—sending a baby instead of a warrior, choosing fishermen over influencers, and redeeming humanity through the cross—challenge human logic. Yet, this “illogical” plan is the ultimate display of love and power. It calls us to trust God’s timing, embrace His purposes, and live with faith in His unshakable truth.
Discussion Questions for Growth Groups
  1. God’s Logic vs. Human Logic: How does Isaiah 55:8-9 challenge the way we try to understand God’s plans? Can you share a time when God’s plan didn’t make sense to you but proved to be perfect?
  2. The Cross as Victory: Why is the message of the cross described as foolishness to some (1 Corinthians 1:18-25) yet the power of God to others? How can this truth transform the way we view hardships?
  3. The Unexpected Savior: Why do you think God chose such a counterintuitive method—sending a baby and later a crucified Savior—to redeem the world? What does this teach us about God’s character?
  4. Trust in Uncertainty: How can we trust God when His methods or timing seem illogical? What practical steps can you take to lean on Him during confusing or difficult times?
  5. Our Response to the Miracle: If God’s plan is true and perfect, how should it change the way we prioritize our lives and live out our faith?
