Winning The War In Your Mind – Gratitude

It actually means the world to the God of the universe when you show gratitude for what He has done for you. It causes Him to actually want to bless you even more.
Discussion Questions for Growth Groups
  1. Have you ever experienced the ingratitude of someone close to you? How did that make you feel?
  2. Is there anyone in your life who you are grateful for, but you have not expressed it? Who? How can you remedy that?
  3. Ready Luke 17: 11-18.  What do we learn about gratefulness in this story?
  4. "It’s not happy people that are grateful, it’s grateful people that are happy!” How have you experienced the blessings of being grateful?
  5. Which of Mitch’s 3 statements is the most challenging to you and why?
    1. I know that every good thing I have comes from God (James 1:17)
    2. I will not let what I want rob me of what I have (Ecclesiastes 6:9)
    3. I’ll turn every blessing into praise (Psalm 63:4-5)
  6. “Count your blessings” - Take some time to go around the room and share all of the things you are grateful to God for and thank your Heavenly Father.
